The INNOWATER project addresses the need for better cooperation and coordination between research organizations, technology developing companies and the water using industries.
In order to develop products that are in line with the needs of the water industry, market research was conducted in the first phase of the project to gain insight in the market characteristics, key market drivers, trends, available technologies, knowledge providers and existing innovation support of all participating countries. To support the implementation of responsible and sustainable water management, INNOWATER offers:
The online WIQS quickly assesses water management in your company: do you know the facts? Are there opportunities to improve your sustainable water management?
To support the implementation of responsible and sustainable water management, INNOWATER offers water using companies audits to develop a sustainable water strategy and provides all the necessary information to make it reality.
To support the implementation of responsible and sustainable water management of water using companies, the EWP created the European Water Stewardship (EWS) in 2008. The EWS is an integrative system for business and agriculture to assess, verify and communicate sustainable water management practices. The EWS water audit has been tested within the INNOWATER project.
